HHAI brings together researchers working on a central question: How can humans and AI truly collaborate, not as competitors but as partners that complement each other? The focus is on AI systems that strengthen human abilities, compensate for weaknesses, and take social, ethical and legal aspects into account. This year’s 5th edition took place in Brussels.

Our researcher André Meyer-Vitali was involved in multiple roles: as Programme Chair, as co-presenter of the paper “FLODO: A Protocol for Collaborative Causal Discovery” with Matteo Gregorini, and as co-organiser of the MULTITRUST 5.0 Workshop alongside Myrthe Tielman, Beau Schelble, Rosae Martín Peña, PhD and Anna-Sophie Ulfert.

The workshop also saw a poster on unifying terminologies around human-AI team trust and a paper on “The Implications of Rational or Human-like Explainable AI.”
